On June 30 2002 a match between Bhutan and Montserrat was to be played the same time as the Germany v Brazil world cup final. This FIFA approved friendly match became known as "The Other Final".
The event captured the imagination of football fans around the world, as these grass roots countries ranked 203 and 203 in the world played not for money but for the love of football. It took place in the capital of Bhutan in front of 20,000 fans.
